A Tuesday four-timer for the yard!

The Sean Tarry stable enjoyed a big day at the Vaal on Tuesday.

The yard sent out four winners on the eight-race card, with the stable’s charges Top Shelf Teddy, Artic Silver, Trajanus and Silver Tudor all winning their respective races. All four horses were ridden to victory by Craig Zackey.

ASSM Racing Syndicate’s Top Shelf Teddy got the day off to a flying start when she won the first race on the Vaal’s card.

The three-year-old daughter of Master Of My Fate powered home to claim the #Youcanbetonus! Maiden Plate (F and M) (1700m) by two lengths. Bred by Varsfontein Stud, Top Shelf Teddy, making her fourth start on Tuesday, is a full sister to the useful Peut Etre Moi.

The yard struck again on Tuesday when Querari filly Artic Silver won the Buy 4 Summer Garden Tickets Only Pay For 3 MR 74 Handicap (1800m). The four-year-old stormed home, full of running, to land the third win of her career by a length and a quarter while besting stablemate Peace Treaty. Owned by Kestorm Investments, Artic Silver was bred by James Armitage.

The Tarry yard won the final two races at the Vaal on Tuesday, with Trajanus victorious in the seventh race and stablemate Silver Tudor successful in the eighth and final contest.

Three-year-old Trajanus, whose dam Zamfira is a half-sister to Sean’s former stable star National Colour, made it back-to-back wins with a near three-and-a-half-length romp in the Booshle G, Ayanda MVP And Neon Dreams Live 29 November Novice Handicap (1000m). Bred by Riethuiskraal Stud, Trajanus (who has won or finished second in all five of his starts) races for Messrs D Chinsammy, D Jessa, A Lahoud, Jarryd Lahoud, E Naicker, Larry Pogir & TKP Racing (Nom: Trevelen Pillay) .

Silver Tudor, a son of Sean’s former charge Lance, picked up his fifth career win when he won Tuesday’s Betway Summer Cup 29 November MR 96 Handicap (1200m). Owned by Lance Michael, the six-year-old was bred by Summerhill Stud.
