Betway Joburg Spring F&M Challenge Runners
Tarry runners Callmegetrix and Rodeo Drive ran 1-2, respectively, in the 2025 G2 Betway Joburg Spring F and M Challenge, and the yard will be looking for more success in the race this year.
Sean is set to be represented by two classy sorts in Saturday’s Betway Joburg Spring F and M Challenge in the form of Care Forgot and Get Up, respectively. The former will be partnered by champion jockey Craig Zackey, while promising three-year-old Get Up will be ridden by Malesela Katjedi.
Below is a brief description of the Tarry-trained pair:
CARE FORGOT: The United States -Love Unlimited
Owner: Lance Michael
Breeder: Moutonshoek
Beaten just over four lengths by the top-class Quickstepgal in last season’s G2 HKJC World Pool Tibouchina Stakes, Care Forgot showed her class when she won two in a row last season, including the Listed Wilgerbosdrift Acacia Handicap. She enjoys the distance of Saturday’s race and will be looking for more valuable black type on Saturday.
GET UP: f What A Winter -Gabor
Owner: Drakenstein Stud
Breeder: Drakenstein Stud
Arguably unlucky not to be named Equus Champion 2YO Filly of 2025-2026, the classy Get Up has done little wrong in her career and will shoulder just 51.5kgs on Saturday. The daughter of champions What A Winter and Gabor has won three of four starts, including both the G2 Allan Robertson Championship and G3 TAB Pretty Polly Stakes. She will be making her three-year-old debut on Saturday.
