Fillies Shine At Turffontein For Sean Tarry Racing

Sean Tarry Racing had a wonderful day at Turffontein on Saturday.
The stable sent out four fillies to win graded races on Saturday, with the yard’s  evergreen star Nebraas running a game second in Saturday’s Listed TAB Gold Bowl. The Tarry stable also sent out Mrs Browning to finish a creditable second in Saturday’s G2 TAB Senor Santa Stakes.

Sean looks to have two very talented two-year-old fillies this season in the form of One Fine Winter and Green Diamond respectively.
The pair won Saturday’s G3 TAB Pretty Polly Stakes and G3 TAB Protea Stakes respectively, with both fillies appearing G1 contenders.

Under Richard Fourie, One Fine Winter turned the Pretty Polly Stakes into a one-horse race, with the What A Winter filly pulling well clear of her rivals to win by four and a half lengths.

Runner up in the G2 Wilgerbosdrift SA Fillies Nursery previously, One Fine Winter is likely to go next to the G1 Allan Robertson Championship.

One Fine Winter races for her breeder Drakenstein Stud, as does the very exciting Green Diamond.
Winner of the G2 TAB SA Nursery on her penultimate start, Green Diamond provided Craig Zackey with an armchair ride as the pair sauntered home to win the Protea Stakes as they liked.

A daughter of multiple champion sire Gimmethegreenlight, Green Diamond could hardly have been more impressive than when she won by six and a half lengths on Saturday, and the daughter of Listed Perfect Promise Sprint winner Lesedi La Rona looks to have a bright future ahead of her.

The Tarry yard also picked up graded races with the four-year-olds Mia Moo and Let’s Go Now at Turffontein.

Classy speedster Mia Moo made it back to back graded stakes wins when she won Saturday’s G2 TAB Camellia Stakes.

The daughter of Vercingetorix, who had won the G3 4Racing Sycamore Sprint last time out, stormed home under Piere Strydom to claim her biggest win by over two lengths.

Bred by Klawervlei Stud, Mia Moo races for Sandy and Eugene Arundel in partnership with World Sports Betting.

Hollywoodbets Durban July entrant Let’s Go Now picked up her first win of the season when given a superb ride by Richard Fourie to win Saturday’s G2 TAB Colorado King Stakes.
The full-sister to exported champion Bless My Stars dislikes the crop, and Richard rode a race with that in mind, while steering Let’s Go Now to a convincing long neck win. Her stablemate Hotarubi finished back in third.

Bred by Varsfontein Stud, Let’s Go Now (like Green Diamond a daughter of Gimmethegreenlight) had won last season’s G3 Mother Russia Stakes.

The filly, who will be a valuable broodmare when she retires to stud, races for Kestorm Investments.
