ST Racing Provides Jockey With 200th Win For The Season
Sean Tarry Racing had a good day on Thursday, when the stable sent out two winners at Turffontein.
The yard’s Rafeef filly Mountain High provided current log-leading jockey Craig Zackey with his 200th win of the season when she won the fourth race on the card.
Zackey gave the three-year-old a perfect ride in Thursday’s Racing Today FM91 Handicap (1400m).
He bought Mountain High with a strong late run and kept his mount going to score by a neck.
Bred and owned by Mary Slack, Mountain High has been ultra consistent, with the filly having finished out of the first three just twice.
Thursday’s winner is out of the Master Of My Fate mare Oh Mercy Me, a full sister to G1 Premiers Champion Stakes winner Sentbydestiny.
The Tarry yard also sent out the promising three-year-old War Of Kingdoms to win the eighth and final race on Thursday.
Another ridden by Craig Zackey, the lightly raced gelding made it two wins from three starts when romping home to claim the Next Turffontein Racemeeting Thursday 8 May MR 84 Handicap (1160 m) by more than three lengths.
Bred by Wicklow Stud and owned by the Kuhns, War Of Kingdom looks to have the scope to progress further and he looks to have a bright future.
