Highlights Of The 2024-2025 Racing Season
The Tarry yard ended the 2024-2025 season on a good note when the stable sent out Xenophon to win on the last day of the season.
In total, runners from the Tarry stable won 80 races last season, with the horses earning more than R15.481 million in prize money.
While there were many highlights to look back on, a few horses put up particularly notable displays.
Star filly Mia Moo reeled off a hat trick of graded wins, culminating in a superb victory in the G1 South African Fillies Sprint.
The yard was home to a pair of top-class three-year-old males in 2024-2025, with Legend Of Arthur winning the G1 TAB SA Derby and his stablemate Cosmic Speed victorious in the G1 Wilgerbosdrift H F Oppenheimer Horse Chestnut Stakes.
Another of the yard’s stable stars last season was World Of Alice, winner of the G3 Fillies Mile and runner-up in the G2 Wilgerbosdrift Bridget Oppenheimer SA Oaks.
Gallant filly Green Sapphire showed tremendous courage in winning both the G3 Umzimkhulu Stakes and the G2 HKJC World Pool Tibouchina Stakes, while Let’s Go Now picked up the second graded win of her career when victorious in the G2 TAB Colorado King Stakes back in 2000m.
The Tarry yard should have plenty to look forward to this season, with the stable home to a number of very exciting newly turned three-year-olds. From G1 World Pool Moment Of The Day Premiers Champion Stakes runner-up Tin Pan Alley to such graded stakes winners as Green Diamond and One Fine Winter, the yard goes into the new season with a number of bright prospects.
Sean and his staff would like to thank the numerous loyal owners and stable sponsors, Betway, whose support continues to be greatly appreciated.
May 2025-2026 produce the horse of your dreams.
