Exciting Prospects Join Sean Tarry Racing
The Tarry yard picked up some very well bred two-year-olds at the recent August Two Year Old Sale.
Among their acquistions from the August Sale are the progeny of such stallions as Chimichuri Run, Danon Platina, Rafeef, and Sean’s former charge Skitt Skizzle.
Lot 13: f Chimichuri Run -Amber Forever
From the first crop of the stable’s G1 Tsogo Sun Sprint winner Chimichuri Run, this filly is out of a winning half-sister to G1 Thekwini Stakes winner Querari Falcon. Her granddam is a winning half-sister to the G1 winners Follow The Falcon and Savannah Queen and this is the family of classy galloper Nourbese.
Lot 36: c Rafeef -Bye Bye Baby
By the same sire as the yard’s star sprinter Thunderstruck, among many others, this colt, a half-brother to three winners, is bred on the same Rafeef/Trippi cross as G1 Computaform Sprint winner William Robertson. His dam is a half-sister to the granddam of G2 Riding High Together Gold Bracelet winner Red Palace.
Lot 128: f Rafeef -Kilauea
Another bred on the same cross as the brilliant William Robertson, this filly, who hails from the same family as the Tarry’s wonderful champion Carry On Alice, is a half-sister to three winners including the stakes placed Sakurajima. Her Trippi sired dam won four times and finished second in the G2 Camellia Stakes and Listed Syringa Handicap.
Lot 187: c Captain Of All -Nutcracker Sweet
By the same sire as the likes of Linebacker, Fiery Pegasus and the yard’s former stalwart Shango, this colt is a half-brother to two winners led by Listed Spook Express Handicapwinner She’s A Cracker. From the family of the Tarry yard’s champion sprinter Mythical Flight, this colt’s dam is a half-sister to two stakes winners, including top-class producer and Listed Syringa Handicap winner Secret Obsession. The latter, like of Captain Of All, was sired by Captain Al.
Lot 216: f Declarationofpeace - Royal Aspen
By the same sire as the yard’s promising Golden Operator, this filly is a half-sister to 8 winners including the stakes winning filly Royal Trip and G1 H F Oppenheimer Horse Chestnut Stakes runner up Copper Mountain (the latter was sired by Declarationofpeace’s half-brother Noble Tune).
Lot 219: f Danon Platina -Saldanha Bay
By the same sire as the likes of White Pearl, Absolutely Yes, Rapidash and Great Plains, this filly is a half-sister to G3 Langerman third Finding Camelot. This classically bred filly’s granddam, by the breed shaping Giant’s Causeway, is a full-sister to unbeaten 2000 Guineas winner and successful sire Footstepsinthesand, and half-sister to G1 winning two-year-old, and sire, Pedro The Great.
Lot 247: f Rafeef -Strawberry Line
A half-sister to six winners including G3 Pretty Polly Stakes runner up Jingleberry and the smart Coin Spinner, this filly is out of a three time winning full-sister to the Tarry trained G1 winner Redberry Lane and G1 Bloodstock SA Cape Guineas hero Solo Traveller. Another full-sister to Strawberry Line, Skylar Lane, produced the G1 winning champion Good Traveller.
Lot 263: f Chimichuri Run -Tropic Sun
Both Chimichuri Run, one of Trippi’s best sons, and classy galloper Tropic Sun are former inmates of the Tarry stable. Tropic Sun, whose sire Skitt Skizzle also hailed from the stable, won four races including the G3 Sycamore Sprint, and this is also the family of G1 Queen’s Plate winner Yardmaster among others.
Lot 267: Skitt’s Harbinger c Skitt Skizzle -Upcloseandpersonal
By the late Skitt Skizzle, this colt is out of a Captain Al half-sister to the stakes placed Scotsnog as well as to the dam of the stakes placed Claw. His dam is a three-parts sister to Captain Al’s multiple graded stakes winning son Disco Al and this is also the family of Equus Champion Jeppe’s Reef
