Stars Shine At Highveld Awards
Sean and his team shone at Saturday night’s Highveld Feature Season Awards.
The ceremony, which took place at Turffontein, honoured both the equine and human stars of the recent Highveld Feature Season.
The Tarry’s top-class three-year-old Tin Pan Alley picked up three awards -Champion 3YO Colt, Champion Miler and Horse Of The Season.
A son of The United States, Tin Pan Alley won a trio of graded races during the season including the G1 Wilgerbosdrift HF Oppenheimer Horse Chestnut Stakes.
The gelding races for the Wernars Family and Dayalan Chinsammy.
The Tarry yard’s exciting filly Get Up claimed the title of Champion 2YO Filly for the past season.
Bred and owned by Drakenstein Stud, the daughter of What A Winter has won two of three starts and romped to a facile three lengths in the G3 TAB Pretty Polly Stakes last time out.
Craig Zackey, who has enjoyed so much success with the stable, was crowned Champion Jockey and Sean himself was named the season’s Champion Trainer.
